Directors and/or Supervisors of the clinical laboratories of Member hospitals participate in face-to-face meetings three times a year. This Council is responsible for evaluation and implementation of cost savings initiatives for laboratory supplies, equipment, and services. In addition to laboratory related supply chain processes, they also participate in continuing education related to compliance, outsourced testing and technical developments in the laboratory area. Networking and shared best practices are integral to the council activities. This council continues progress on identified initiatives via monthly teleconferences.
